I've lived here my whole life and see zero need to have an AWD car or a 4WD truck.
As long as you have good tires, you're ok. Besides snow like this happens not all that often.
Last time was in 03?
My neighbor with a benz talked to me while I was digging out and he was going on about how bad his car is in the snow how he kept getting stuck, and if I have problems with my benz, I told him I didn't expect to since I have all season tires. I asked him about his tires, he said, they're brand new! um no, what kind of tires, I don't know but they're brand new....
In the snow I'd take a 350Z with all season tires on it anyday over a WRX with sport tires.
edit, just looked at the pictures of the raptor and that's a pretty bad *** looking truck. props to ford for that one.

Yeah, I'm NOT a truck guy at all but I almost went off the road staring at that bad boy. They are talking about making a future model with the 6.8L V10 instead of the current 5.4L V8.

It's a bit of both. I'm hoping to relocate to one of our other reactor sites in NY. Housing prices are normal there. Waterfront property on Lake Ontario with a few acres for a reasonable price.
