depends if you still talk to them. like i keep in contact with most of mine. If you just get a facebook and accept everyone as a friend and not talk to anyone then yeah that is just lame. But using it to keep in contact with people you went to school/grew up with and are not in your area then thats when facebook isnt gay.
If a friend can't pick up the phone and call me to let me know about something then I could care less. If I need to be on FB to find out my friend is having a kid, or my friend was in a car crash or that they bought a new car, then I could care less about having that person as a friend.
most of the time I hear, oh well its sooo hard to keep up with everyone, ok well, clearly that person has too many friends. or should I just call it a list.
It just makes having friends zero effort.

its just easier to FB chat 8 people at once instead of making 8 phone calls back to back to back.. listen to music search the web and chat at the same time... plus its wild to see how many people find you from elementary school and chit... Its more for mutual friends.. someone you dont hangout with on a regular basis, only every so often...
I dont understand what the big deal is..
You make phone calls ill text and FB...
Thats like saying dont get pizza delivered to your house thats lazy.. go pick it up.. lol seriously...

Meh, I used to think FB was ghey too. But then I made an account and reconnected with alot of my old HS friends. Plus since most of us on here are on FB we can talk online and share other information that's not necessarily car related. Plus it's kind of cool to see what other hobbies/activities folks are involved with. I guess you're situation's different since you're married. I'm sure your wife wouldn't be too pleased if you started chatting with old GFs right in front of her.
And for me it's always fun to check out random pictures posted by my friends. It'd annoy the hell out of me if friends send me picture texts non-stop. Facebook is great for that purpose. I mean imagine you went on a camping trip and you had some great photos to share with all your friends. How would you go about doing that? Email a link to the pictures to all your friends? Hmm... I don't even know 99% of my friends' email addresses and everyone's afraid of clicking on links on emails. Facebook is totally the solution for that.
