Default Wrap for intake

So i was thinking. I know some wrap the headers and exhaust with that ... anit heating thingy haha( noob i know) now ... Would it be smart to wrap a cold air intake in the same stuff? So that the plastic or what ever it is made out of does not get hot due to the engine heat?

Not enough heat hits it to generate heat soak,Soo prob not worth the money it would take.

More for looks than actual performance.

IIRC 10 degrees lower intake temps = 1hp

Your intake would need to be around some serious heat to IMO warrant the wrap and keep heat out.

Having said that my old intake pipe was gold foil wrapped, my lower 2 still are, but I did it for looks.

Thats what I was thinking. Questions like this happen when I think to much. I know when I had the pop charger and I tried to let it run with out the heat shield, my engine kept dying at every stop. So thats why my brain came up with this question lol .
