Hey guys, i live in downtown bmore and left around 9am and noticed a retarded line around the convention center, and by mean retarded wraped around both sides, till the back and then longer(my friend left his place at 7am and said the line was as bad then too). I went to five guys to grab a burger with some friends and was surrounded by people in wigs, samari swords, and battle axes. I was like WTF. apparently theres a huge anime meeting in downtown bmore. Needless to say it is quiet the specticle. Anyone else see these people. I had no idea the there was such a following.

Its a huge 3 day anime convention. There are several ones around the country and otakon is one of the biggest. People from all over the US come to attend! Goofball should already be there, and I'm going tomorrow with 350Ricky. Its actually pretty fun!
Dressing up isn't required but a lot of people do anyway. There are contests for best costume and such...

I have no interest in anime but think the outfits are a riot. too bad the majority of the girls are busted but I did catch one that was good looking. I wonder if the bars will be full of drunk anime people and fight will erupt. I would take photos but I broke my camera, so hopefully someone else can post it up

I went last year and it was more boring than expected...
Getting older perhaps....
NO, not really.
The problem is that even though I like anime and all that stuff, all the panels were run by 15 year old kids who never thought about rehearsing what they were going to say.
So the next year I said: I pass.
