Unhappy My Girlfriend isn't allowing me to Mod my Car anymore... so I must Comply......

We had a long talk about our future, our house, family, and possible kids 11 years from now when I turn 28. Right now in my senior year of high school, I asked for an early graduation present from my parents so they gave me $20k to do whatever I wish. Of course, the love of my life is my wonderful Lemans Sunset 350z that I got when I turned 16.. and the second love: my girlfriend and wife to be. She however, doesn't want me to spend a dime on my car, and the money could be better invested for a down payment on a house or perhaps an engagement ring. She told me if I don't propose to her after I graduate, then she's going to dump me and that would totally ruin my life and any future chance I get in reproducing my genes. Not to mention I would fall into a deep depression for many years to come because I have a terribly hard time talking to new women.

However, we all know that most chicks don't know much about mods or cars in general, or would even notice a mod... so I went ahead and modded my car behind her back (shhhhh... let this be between all of us car guys/gals in the Mid-A only)

(Update for the new comers to Mid-A) I wanted to go for some simple bolt-on's to just bump up the horsepower a bit, so I decided to nab a set of JWT Twin Turbos, with the upgraded 700bb series turbos. I hear 500+whp is average in the mid-a, so I figured I might as well spend half of my allowance on these babies:

Mid-A Gets a sneak peak!

I had some issues with my previous built motor because the previous builder did a Terrible job, so out goes the old:

My old clutch/flywheel setup, stage 5 Clutch Masters:

Something new and better is going in, I'm excited.

Her heart is out for surgery:

(BTW, those rims you see in the pics are for sale, PM for more info. The blue car in the background is Cass's car FYI.)

To be continued...
(I'll write-up the entire truth of the build in the FI forum and will post a link here when the beans have been spilled)

a girl demanding a ring at that age? hahahah... it wasn't meant to be, man. you shouldn't even consider marriage until the mid 20s. people grow up and change.. hell people can change after that too, just less of a chance.

glad to see you prioritized right .. if the woman doesnt support the Z she doesn't support me.. your girl should be helping you mod it! : ]

No way Jose! I might blow up! Boost is like mosquito repellent, it wards off all those pesky Civics. It's only good for the sound! I told Dave to tune it for 1psi to get that "psssht," but who actually needs to go fast? As long as you look and SOUND fast, that's all that matters. Oh yeah, and to get crowds of people swarming around your car when you have your hood propped open at car meets. Makes you look like the cool guy when everyone's asking you questions and stuff.. and you know, girls see that, so they automatically think you're the Alpha Male and that gives you brownie points with the ladies.

Toss her, you got too much living to do before you got married. You're only 17?

You still have a future to develop yourself man.

She's my soulmate, the one and only, I would be kind of lost without her like half of me is missing so she wants to get married next year. I have to marry her or else I may get dumped and not have another chance again with any other woman. 18 is a good age to marry no? I would have done it at 17, but my parents didn't give me enough money when I mowed the lawn for the past year.

So since I got straight A's (and only 1 B) I got a good allowance my junior year.

Don't get married at 18. For the love of god, cherish it. You have to cherish it.

One more ticket in VA and its the firing squad for me. If I had twins, I would VRMMPSH at the stoplights and on 95, then go the speed limit lol. At least for a year or so.

are you trolling us? uhh ..

lawn mowing? wat.

plenty of women out there dude. if you fall victim to the "marry me or I'm moving on" card you deserve to be divorced in the mid 20s lol. it will be harder for her to get half out of you if you dump all your money into the Z .. : )
