I am planning to make a few runs this Friday Nov 6 at Capitol if anyone wants to join me. Looks like zero chance of rain and 50 degree high -- my twins spool like raped apes in cold weather... I got brand new tires so I'm hoping to break into 12's finally. Got 13.1 a couple weeks back with baldies and massive wheel slip off the line.

Hint -

get there at 4:45 or so (gates open at 5). You'll be able to do lap after lap until around 6:30 or so. Last time several people including myself got like 7 or 8 runs in within the first hour. I usually leave by 6:30 which is when the lines start forming.

 

Im taking off friday so I can get there on time. I need some practice runs before saturday and sunday.

Well, it's impossible to say for sure, but given that the low is ~32 and high of ~53 figure the temp around 6 will be in the mid-upper 40's. With that and there being no precip in the forcast.................they should be in the -500 range. Should be some seriously fast times. I am probably done for the year, but I am going to run it at Mason this weekend and see if it is just the trans overheating from the long drive, etc going to Capital.

 

6MT overheating? huh?

 

I think it's the clutch, but it is an intermitant problem. Basically it's just being a POS and hating on me.
