A prius story- Im foaming

The funny thing is that studies have shown that the prius is actually worse for the environment then a h2 hummer. The bi-products from making the batteries and the fact that during the manufacturing process of the car it is shipped around the world by diesel burning boats before it arrives at a dealership. the batteries are started in canada and finished in germany. then are shipped to japan for car production then the cars are shipped here for sale. besides the fact that prius owners would have to drive them until the wheels fall off to recoupe the extra 10K+ they cost over a corolla, which gets around 30 mpg.
I know a few six-figure folks who pick up a Prius because it's an ego-trip for them. They feel sensible but don't have to appear cheap at the same time?

My mom is looking into the prius but only for the gas savings nothing to do with the environment.
I didn't even think about the price to gas burning ratio where the corolla would be cheaper. I will have to talk to her about her purchase lol

Nope didnt read it. I read the first post and thats it. Sure they tested it but you could be the unlucky one to get the car with the bad battery and somehow they'll say it's your fault. just sayin
