Default Another foot of snow on the way, and no beater

Can't believe the amount of snow around here ( Northern Delaware ) this winter, f**king El Nino. I have a 350 Z and a Supra , probably the two worst cars in the snow I have ever driven. Last few winters have been pretty snow free so I have kept off buying a beater but this year is getting ridiculous. Only thing that helps is that I have five weeks vacation, so I don't have worry too much about driving to and from work. When that snow starts falling any Z owner knows they only have about 1/2 hour to make it somewhere before being stuck or sliding into something. Can't wait for spring so I can clean my cars up and start driving those back roads up into PA. again. Right now the color of my Z is " Silversalt ".

Pick yourself up a $500 civic and/or something equivilant, they do great in the snow. Best part = you can sell it back for just as much if not more than you bought it for.

If you're worried about it pick up a set of stock wheels and install some winter tires.

I'd take a 350Z with winter tires over any AWD car with all session tires.

The car isn't the problem, it's the stuff that goes between the car and the road.

Have to agree -- it's the tires. Just make sure they have tread (mine don't, and they suck. They were great when they were new).

My Z tires if brand new suck in any snow.

you really need an all season or winter tire.

I may have traction with the blizzacks but it is still rough when you have a lot of snow.....5 or 6 " is still tough more then that...i hope you have 4wd....just drive smart.

^ LOL Awesome pic!

I slapped a pair of all-seasons on my AWD beater. Mostly on purpose though, to get more angle.

How about a picture of the tires.

Looks like the audi side had a more blocky style where the BMW had a more aggressive sport tire.

We can blame it on RWD VS AWD but I don't think that picture is apples to apples

OEM BMW 328 tires

Audi A4 2.0 quatro

The audi doesn't even list sport tires, every tire listed for the 2.0 is an all season tire.

Can't say the same about the BMW....

looking back at it, they do have another "base" option, when base is listed it does give you OE level tires that sport/all season.

That's the blizzaks, an option for BMW owners.

It will be the best 5k you'll ever spend in ur entire life. You can beat the CRAP out of this thing and it'll still beg for more like a $5 *****.
