I wanan play paintball but I would much rather bring a couple of boxes of paint and a few tanks of CO2 and play in the woods then go to a sanctioned event.

 

I'm gonna try to make both events. I wouldn't get to the B-Boy thing until around 10:30-11 cause I gotta work.

New Paintball Facility at Solley Cove Park

County Executive John R. Leopold said that a new paintball and airsoft game fields will open at Solley Cove Park in Pasadena next month.

Solley Cove Park, which is located on Carbide Road in Pasadena, is undeveloped County parkland. The new paintball and airsoft facility will expand the public's use of this property and provide enhanced maintenance and security. Materials used at the site will be biodegradable and no permanent structures will be built to avoid adverse impact on the environment.

Outdoor Adventures Paintball Sports Supply, Inc. has been contracted to operate the paintball and airsoft game fields. Outdoor Adventures Paintball Sports Supply, Inc. operates a similar facility on Baltimore County Recreation and Parks property in Rosedale and facilities in Bowie and Chesapeake City. They have served over 300,000 paintball and airsoft enthusiasts.

The Solley Cove paintball and airsoft game fields will consist of four courses and are expected to open April 1. Individuals and small groups will primarily have the opportunity to utilize the facility as walk-ons on weekends. Larger groups will need to make reservations for weekday and weekend use. Rental equipment will be available or participants can use their own equipment. Admission prices and special events will be posted on the Outdoor Adventures Paintball Sports Supply website, www.oapaintball.com, which can be accessed via a link from the Department of Recreation and Parks website.

"Paintball and airsoft are very popular activities," County Executive Leopold said. "I am pleased the Department of Recreation and Parks has solicited a vendor to provide a safe venue within our community for this fun and exciting recreational activity."

 

yea I just hate paying tournament entry fees and stuff I just do it for fun.

I know my local paintball shop is opening a new field on fortsmallwood road as well. I know the owner from back in the day I used to go to school with his son. Ill have to talk to him about a hookup

 

I just got off the phone with them. The new field opening date keeps being pushed back but the Bowie field is def closed.
I'm going to miss the Bowie location.
