I know that lil seam in the road looks harmless, especially when driving up to it without even speeding, but its a very nasty bump. I had another thought- I got a warranty from Fitzgerald, do you guys think that may cover this? I don't think these cars should be doing something like this while going the posted limit even if there is a pothole or a suspension-assassin crack.
That's a catastrophic failure of the knuckle unlike I have ever seen.....unless you hit that thing at 160 I don't see it. See if Nissan will warranty it.
Called, Fitzgerald, since I didn't buy from nissan and got a no. And yea, I was going 35, but the hit felt rather hard for some odd reason. Now, I drive baltimore roads almost every week and nothing even close to this. Perhaps the knuckle was weakened and this lil thing finished it off? I don't really know, but I hope this won't run me an arm and a leg in repairs.

utilize a weight-transfer technique. Prior to going over bumps, brake hard to shift the weight forward... then FLOOR the shiet out of your car so the weight is transferred to the rear which gives your front control arms a slight "lift" of about 0.5-1inch (depending on the amount of torque/tire choice is exerted) A lil road racing strategy that super lowered cars should adhere to when going over 0.2 inch high speed bumps.
P.S. Nissan won't cover that.
P.P.S you can do it yourself for $50 bucks from the junk yard, it's a piece of cake. Alignment might run you another $120.
Who said anything about a proper, labeled speed bump? Thats the the whole thing, it was a really bad aligned concrete section thats practically invisible until you're fked.
also contact the county where this is... I know if a pothole pops your tire in some cases you can get reimbursed. I dont know all the details about it though.
