ECU Tune
I hope it's just a base tuning problem. I don't see what else could be causing it
... Maybe my injectors? but I don't see why they wouldn't be running correctly, and they're 800ccs so they're big enough. And the car isn't throwing any unusual error codes (I have an OBDII reader in the car at all times). The bucking has stopped after I rerouted my MAP vacuum hose, so I guess it was pinched somewhere, now my only problem is idling, which isn't bad if I come down on the revs soft (coast to a stop while in gear), its when I come of revs relatively quick (like when I coast to a stop with the clutch down or on neutral) and NO, I havent gone above 2k revs, im avoiding boost at all cost until I get that tune. As for intense, I tried calling Hal but I couldn't get thru to them the one opportunity I had to call during business hrs, gonna try again tomorrow, but that might be an exercise in futility as I'm shooting to get tuned tomorrow. I really wanna get this done quick so that I can roll w/ you guys in my Z on the 11th!

Did you call hills yesterday?? They were tuning last night they could have at least advised you.
I hope you are able to get this issue fixed today, so you can roll with us on sunday.

800cc's are pretty large, more than you need for a stock block (assuming you're not built). you're not going to get it running smoothly no matter what on 800cc's until you get a proper tune, and it's gonna have to be a champion tune to get it back as smooth as stock. The injector latency and trims on the 800cc's are tough to dial in, especially without a RFS.
Theirs also JE Imports and MA Motorsports. Both do alot of Nissan work not sure if they do alot of Haltech. I've also heard alot of really good things about PF Supercars. Since they specialize in Haltech that would be MY first choice.
So nobody's heard of Charlie cuz apparently he's from up in PA, but you can get a hold of him thru Matt at Precision PSI (which is rite down the street from Hills) and he'll come down to tune ur car. The dude is GOOD, and he specializes in Haltechs. I'm not the fan boy type or the kind of person to give free publicity, so the main reason I'm posting this is for future reference, if anybody ever needs a Haltech tune, and needs more options other than PFSupercars (for some of us that's a bit of a drive). It was very reasonably priced too. My car is running great and he's a cool guy, so I'd recommend him to Haltech owners as a viable alternative

Noob comes on and asks for advice...
Noob is given advice from several solid Mid-A members on how to solve his dilema...
Noob ignores advice and ends up going with "Charlie from PA"...

Look, not trying to start anything, but this "noob" listened to the advice given. I called all 4 places suggested. But everybody other than PFSupercars, including the guys at the Hills garage, flat out told me over the phone that they weren't gonna tune my haltech, that if I went they were gonna tune my stock ecu. And PFSupercars, who DO tune haltech, were overbooked and too far of a drive considering how my base map was running. I've been down there and met them, they did my friends FD RX-7 and really are an amazing shop, but I've seen first hand how overbooked they are. So if you wanna try and flame me for thinking outside of the fanboy box and going w/ somebody else who specializes in my ECU, because none of the advice given worked out for my particular application (I wasn't gonna have my stock ECU tuned, that's the whole reason I got the haltech to begin with), go for it, cuz I honestly don't care. I found a good tuner, that got my car running great, in no time and for a reasonable price, and that is a viable option B for other haltech owners so they don't have to drive all the way to Frederick to find somebody who works on our ECUs...
^ Oh yeah, I might be a noob cuz I'm a newer member on this forum, but this isn't my first rodeo, I've been working on cars for about 8-10 yrs now. I'm not from the MD area cuz I'm in the military and have to move every 2 yrs, so yeah, I had to ask local ppl about what's around here... it happens. So if somebody's advice goes against my experience and better judgment (not a stab at the ppl who tried to help, you all pretty much said it was gonna be hard to find somebody who does haltech. I honestly appreciate the help, and tried all of them before going w/ Charlie) I'm not gonna limit myself to following that advice just because somebody on a forum told me to, no offense.

Haha I know u were, we all do it
... But still figured I'd explain so that any noobs w/ a haltech that read this in the future don't immidiately disregard the Charlie option cuz they think I don't know what I'm talking about lol... It's good info I think, cuz only having 1 option when u wanna do something kinda blows

I was at hills today and they said they sent you an email back saying they could tune your car and they never heard back from you???
And he said they could tune it.
And he said they could tune it.
anywho, that Frank is the one that told me he could tune my car, but that he would do it by tuning my stock ECU and not my haltech... miscomunication I guess?... And as for the dyno printout, I'll post it later when I get home
I think the point of egging the OP on to go to Mid-A's "selected" shops is to prevent him from going to "that" shop whom must not be named, haha. Glad you're happy with your tune!
Alrite, sorry to revive an old thread but, I finally have it on my computer. Here is the dyno chart after the final tuning session! Would've posted sooner but between weather, out-processing, and scheduling, it's been a bit of a struggle to get this finalized. Anyhow, w/o further delay:
