Hills Garage
As some of you may have known I decided to swap my UTEC for Uprev Tuner+HPX MAF and do a self street tune. It was quite a learning experience...
the main thing I learned is that my AEM A/F meter is garbage and I couldn't get accurate logs over 5krpm without nearly killing myself LOL...
Anyways, this is a BIG shoutout to Frank Smith and Frank Hill at Hills Garage. Being able to talk to him about tuning/uprev was truely enlightening and I can tell you the guy is a genius. Truly gifted at his trade.
I also want to thank Jared at uprev for dealing with my noob questions and GT-ER on my350z for all the tips that got me 90% there.

Before and after are shown on the dyno sheet for my own tune vs a few small changes by frank. Basically we took out a bunch of fuel and gained 15whp and 20+wtq up top if you count for the heatsoak.
Before uprev when I ran a utec I was at 388wtq/415whp but that was in the dead of winter with more aggressive timing. Under similar conditions I'd probably be equal or higher than that now. 108-112 degree ambient temp is f'king up my tq badly.

^^^ Absolutely! These guys really know what they are doing. My Z is just a NA slowbie but it drives like a different car now, as I've said elsewhere. I have much more low end torque, which is great for road course driving and is exactly what I asked Frank for! The car does not "lay down" like it used to when shifting into 3rd either. Another good thing. No other shop I know of in the area is going to spend hours tuning on a NA Z so you can imagine what Hill's does with a TT or FI set up! A Nissan certified Master Tech and a knowledgeable tuner under the same roof. Need I say more?
Now, if I can just get them to send me the dyno printout files!

Frank S. has 20+ years tuning experience...it's crazy. Having him coach me on the last couple runs was absolutely priceless...
PS: He can email you your run files that you can load up in Winpep, PM me if you don't have his email address.
