I noticed when I took my car back from the bodyshop the capacitor had drained down and the stereo cut out but that was just for a few minutes until the battery had time to run for a while.
My mods are minimal in comparison to you guys and it'll be a while before i go up in power.

The capacitator will help to keep the sound system from draining the battery.

You could "mod" a car to kingdom come and not have it drain the battery whatsoever. It comes down to if a part puts a constant drain on the battery: Ecu Piggyback like E10, a ignition assist, aftermarket alarm, some car amps with no capacitor that prevents draw back. things like that are what will cut out battery life. Not engine/body/power/FI mods.

Pretty much gonna go with the 285x4 setup and just see between the star spec/RS-3/AD08/RE070 what has the best price/best deal. It will more then likely be between the SS or RS-3 I doubt I will be affected by the minuet difference between the two so I will go with the little bit of savings I can get. (The SS's would also probably last a little bit longer but that isnt really a concern)

I run a bobcat for DSM snow removal

Best of both worlds Good money and I dont have to pay for the maintenance/fuel/ or have to buy the equipment

I almost bought a New Holland LS160 w/ four attachments last weekend.

Owner wouldnt budge on his reserve price.

Attachments were nice, but it wasnt worth it to me with the high hours.

I forget the ratings/classifications on the Hollanders but isnt that a pretty small one?

Personally I prefer case because I like all hand controls for some reason. kamatsu (sp??)I believe Is hand control as well and I have heard it is very nice.. I have run both new Holland and Bobcat and other machines and cant really say I noticed much difference between them as far as controls go. It comes down to which machine fits what work you do and what you are comfortable controlling.

What kinda work are you trying to do with it mike?

be careful getting a contract with your own machine if you have never plowed snow/first time extensively operating the machine.

It can be good money (machines usually are paid ~125 an hour) But depending on the contract you may have to provide your own insurance (cheap)

But be sure you know what you are doing, because running a machine and making a bad move can cause some serious damage and its a quick way to get fired and still need your insurance to cover damages.

If you looking to get into it though be sure you can be available whenever it snows. Be prepared to work for long hours in the cold with no breaks (I have done 32 hours straight before)

Its very rewarding but can be very tough but like for me I for some odd reason love the long hours in the cold and enjoy snow removal immensely.

let me know if you wanna do some work and I can talk to my boss if you already know how to run a machine and see if he has any extra spots. All the plow trucks are pretty much filled I fill in when someone that runs one cant.
