Just got done pulling the pork.

For those of you keeping track.

9lbs (after eating a bunch) of pulled pork = just under 6 quarts.

Daily driver/tow the car. I strongly dislike having to change wheels/tires before and after events.

go with a diesel, better MPG, More power, Better for towing, More options.

Yes diesel is more to fill the truck up with but by the time you figure out the MPG's vs same size Gas truck its actually cheaper.

7500 for a 2001 with 300,000 miles.

put about $700 into it to have it running perfect plus a couple mods for better MPG. 1k if you count the exhaust too

I have a buddy who is a diesel mechanic so he does all the work on it that I need.

There are certain things you need to watch for depending on what year/mileage/price range your looking in. If you tell me what your looking to do I can offer you my input. 150k is just broken in on a diesel so mileage is a whole different ballgame then with cars My truck runs perfect still and im closing in on 330,000 miles now.

I can only offer you knowledge on Ford Diesel's I have always had a good history with them and have only ever owned ford trucks soo its all I have really done in depth research on.

I just don't f with how much it costs to repair diesels, man. I am only going to tow ~4500-5000lbs. That's nothing for a Titan with the big tow pacakge. Even if I eventually upgrade to an enclosed trailer.....still probably only 7500-8000lbs.

diesel maintenance is key. Yes the motor is expensive to replace and other big ticket items are, but its rare that you need to replace them.

Do your oil changes, use synthetic, and do trans flushes every 25k and you really wont have any problems.

Now 6.0's and 6.4 have issues with head-gaskets but if you just put on an exhaust or buy one that has already been repaired the replacement ones have no issues.

Gas trucks arent really that much cheaper to repair and at 18-20mpg on a diesel vs 10-12 on gas Id take diesel every time.

And yes the titan will tow the weight, but if you go up to an enclosed trailer that weight will wear down a titan long before a truck rated to haul allot more.

Titans are great trucks and perform very well but for a truck to last a long time and being bought primarily for towing i would suggest a diesel every time.

Normally, this is where I'd post up a chick in a bikini pic....and then get another warning from the MY350Z Gestapo.
