So my big brother decided to challenge me and bought me a Rubik's Cube from ebay. I've been so addicted to it. I know it's nothing "new" but boy it sure is challenging trying to solve it time attack style. Currently my record is right under 3 minutes. It's a shame cuz my little cousin whom my brother also bought her a Rubik's Cube has a record of 1 minute and 35 seconds...
Here're some Rubik's Cube art that I did and a test to my photography skill.

BB, one way to improve your speed and catch up to your little cousin is to mod and soup up your cube a bit. Each cube has over 30 moving parts and the plastic parts rubbing against each other create considerable friction. Take your cube apart and remove any rough edges then lubricate all the surfaces with a tiny bit of silicone oil. Don’t use any petroleum based lubes or sprays with petroleum propellants as these will dissolve the plastic and make things sticky. Silicone makes a cube totally friction free and lightning fast, it will definitely speed up your times.
If you don’t have any silicone oil handy (thin dielectric grease used for auto electric connectors also can work), maybe ask your mom or older sister for a dab of her silicone sex lube and try that.

It really doesn't matter how much you shuffle it. It's just an algorithm that you follow. To be honest I didn't learn how to solve it until like 2 years or so ago. And really it took me like a few hours watching videos on youtube and read through a few step by step to solve it. After that you just got to pick one algorithm and memorize it. Even Shin could solve it if he puts his head to it.
