No, I have not done anything else to the car. Mine's an automatic (with paddle shifters installed by Hill's I might add) and 3rd gear is pretty tall plus my 3:30-something rear makes for a not so quick car. My car used to "lay down" badly when I shifted to 3rd and Frank (the tuner Frank) told me he could get some of that out of it. He did. Not all of it but a significant improvement. I gained about 12 WHP (+ or -) and some torque. It was so hot that day the torque converter started to slip so he had to get it the best he could. They told me anytime I wanted to touch it up, bring it back. As for how it drives, I see a lot more slip lights than ever before in first and second. In 3rd when I hit WOT the car is sort of lazy up to about 3000-3500 rpm then it comes on really strong. I think that's due to gearing and my JWT C2 cams mostly. I use the paddle shifters all the time and even at normal driving speeds the car shifts very smoothly and seamlessly. I am super pleased with the tune, you might say.

I'm not sure I will do any more engine stuff for a while. I need to learn to drive what I got. I want to sink some money in suspension stuff and a Nismo LSD. I may go with a oil cooler (already have a tranny cooler) because last time at Summit main my oil hit 260 degrees (and that's with an extra quart using a oil pan extension. That's not way over recommended but it is on the +10-12 degrees to the warm side. I might consider a larger exhaust if the price was right. I have the Ingen SES which has small tubing. Frank H. likes the fast intentions exhaust so am considering that one.

He's been talking about getting it put in for a while now. Glad he finally did it. I'll probably be down there tomorrow to check it out. Once I change my sparkplugs I'll be dynoing with my nitrous to see where Im at.

Are they changing locations, Barnabas? I talked to Frank on the phone today and seemed pretty happy with the new dyno, etc.

Thank you Barny for asking about the decals. You still have my shirt to dont you? Im not sure when but I hope to get down to something this year. If you ever get tired of holding onto it just let me know, I will pay for postage.

Gator, glad to hear your another satisfied customer. Choosing the exhaust that best works for your car is important. I went with a AAM true dual 3". I wanted as big as possible. I love the power but miss the sound. Before I went TT, I had Nismo headers, Stillen test pipes, then a Nismo exhaust. Very low profile at idle but very wicked at wot!!! Just a nice VQ sound. I hope all works out for you Gator.

Use the hyperlink feature (little globe with clip next to the picture icon above). Also, the link above does not work.
