This morning at 345 I was traveling 95n on the way to work. I had my friends Scion TC she let me use. Well. I see a State Trooper in the lane next to the far left lane. I look at my passanger and was like ****. Even though I am a cop I hate civi cops. So I move over a lane and proceed to drive at 55. The trooper moves over a lane and is about a car in front of me. Well... I show my passanger my speedometer and was like I can't believe I am passing a cop at 55 she must be tired. Well the trooper fell back to run my tags which came back to a female and she drove up next to me and hit me with the spotlight from her light bar. I look at my speed. Still 55. So I continue.... here is the fun part.
She gets behind me and proceeds to pull me over. Downshifting, hitting my blinkers and pulling over I move to the shoulder but decide to move pass the on ramp to make it safer for traffic to merge than seeing 2 vehicles blocking their view. The trooper immedietly goes up to my window and just stands there as I am fumbling with the radio to turn it off. (Wasn't loud just out of respect) and I turned on the dome light.
Trooper: did you see that truck?
Me: what truck?
Trooper: the truck you cut off on the onramp?
Me: ma'am I didn't see a truck
Trooper: you lucky he seen my lights..... did you see the sign?
Me: what sign?
Trooper: the speed limit sign , it changed...
Me: um no ma'am it still said 55 this entire way since woodbridge.
Trooper: ......
Basicly she stated I was going 60 and was paced by her. Then she told me a story about someone else passing her and she stated I went 66 .... I was like ma'am you said 60 then she said 63....
While this breifing was happening I wa searching for the insurance and registration. I told her I couldn't find .... and this is where **** went down hill.....
She said shut up I didn't ask for that what the hell are you thinking we don't ask for that in va. Why would you look for it?
Me: ma'am I am a military cop and that's what I ask for all the time.
Then she ripped into me for being a hipocrite and worthless... stating that military cops mean nothing to them and that we are the worst kind of people on the roads and that she has been on the road for 13 years and I don't know what **** she does.
This went on for 5 minutes and she took my info back to her car. I called my supervisor to let him know what is all goin on. She comes back and stands there and hands me the stuff calls me a hypocrite and worthless again and goes back to her car and speeds off.
She did state that the ticket was worth 3 points. I said for what and she said disobeying a posted sign. ( wtf didn't you just say it was for speeding?)
Lol I felt verbally raped. I mean I did nothing wrong ..... like at all. I mean I would be the first to admit that I ****ed up .....so I don't know wtf happened to her. ( I know they lost a trooper last night so that might be it. )
Cliffs: pulled over for passing a cop on the right at speed limit.... called worthless and a hypocrite for nothing

can't pass on the right.
rest is he said/she said bs
why did you even consider passing a marked patrol vehicle?
also what is the "i hate civi cops" part...?
Sounds too me as though you deserved exactly what you got from her.

If a vehicle is going slower than the speedlimit then I have no problem passing on the right. She should of moved over. Civi cops and military cops usually don't see eye to eye.
So how do I deserve the briefing? She couldn't make up her mind what I did nor did I do anything wrong.
Most of the time if a cop isn't payin attention like most drivers they will go slower than the speed limit .... so she was in the wrong for that one.... impeeding traffic.

From what you said it seems she was flustered and had some anger to let out.

By definition an emergency vehicle cannot impede traffic. An emergency vehicle is allowed to slow down in any lane.
Most vehicle law states you cannot pass on right. Passing on right, especially of a police vehicle gets you pulled over.
Just from your post I see at least one maybe two things that would give PC for stop, then the no registration + insurance = two more tickets.
She cut you a break and did not hammer you.
Why were you arguing with her anyway?

Def wasn't arguing my vocab was full of yes maams no maams
As for va. She stated I didn't need insurance card and I had the registration. Now if I am going 55 and she slows down..... that's technically not me passing. Its going the speed limit and she passed me ....backwards? Because I wasn't accelerating. Not seeing the validness of your posting.

OP, go to the office that Trooper works out of and see if there was any video. If there was video, and she was mic's up, her contradictory statements should be enough to take care of this.
I don't know the laws in Va, but I was able to get/use video of my stop in Florida.
And this is old but it came up when I googled it...

Didn't get the ticket so no court but debating about bringing it to her chain of command. See military cops are like normal cops we have federal juristicion just as they would their city or county or state. We just deploy and defend america overseas.....
Did you try hitting her?

You're lucky. I was pulled over for passing a vehicle doing 38 in a 50 and got a $510 reckless driving charge. She could barely look me in the face giving her BS story. I'm like look, I know all civilian cops have quotas, especially near the end of the month. But she came up with some serious boolsheet trying to justify it.
Luckily her dumb azz didn't come to court.
I was so ready for my lawyer to own that cvnt....

OP i feel your pain i was pulled over and falsely accused of going 75 in a 65.. but i was actually cruising (no, i literally had my cruise control set) at 65mph. After i told him that he was surely mistaken, he immediately switched the accusation and claimed i didn't use my turn signals when going to the shoulder.. i mean seriously you don't think i would have used my turn signals when i'm fully aware that a cop is patrolling an area - not to mention pulling me over?!
he was well beyond the bounds of good judgement.. he was grossly wrong and it was a good thing that i was more than just an acquaintance with the local judge.. it makes you wonder how officers get their badges b/c some definitely are not merited.

Sounds to me as though you dont believe any cops can be wrong, ever.
