Randy, how much more driver mod do you need? 11.9 @ 119 on a stock block..in a G (not a Z)? I can't imagine it can get a whole lot better.

I'd like to say your driver mod is maxed out, man.

In the meantime, I want to hit that 13.6.

 

Get your old Mann *** out to the track on the 10th , you have been talking about running your "new" set up for years lol, if the last time your car ran down the 1320 was with a stillen, there is a problem lol

 

ill be camping the night before and i work that night, ill try to get up to the track though and run the diesel

 

Dont worry about if its a Z or G. Look at the trap vs the time.

Sure a muscle car setup for the track would go low 10's @ 119mph, our street cars wont. But it could go mid 11's on that trap.

I only needed 114mph worth of trap to hit 11.9 and I had a 60ft .2 SLOWER than him! Whats that tell you?

 

When I can hit 11's consistently then I will back off the driver mod. For now I'm think the weather played a serious role in the 11.9. I also want to get my 60' down to 1.7 or better consistently (weather won't affect that).

 

I might try to make this one if the weather looks good. Would love to get a run or two in if I can sort out this clutch issue a bit.

I'm in the stage right now where the car usually blows up, so I'm super nervous about every new noise and smell. Constantly hawking the temps and such. Its going to take some time for me to have some confidence that I can beat on it without it breaking.

 

If I get my car back by then, I'll be there. I never tried drag racing so this should be interesting lol

 

I wouldn't mess around at the track with a clutch that has even the slightest tendency to slip. Other than that, I don't see any harm in romping on it a bit as long as your tune is good.

 

Well if you decide to go you can borrow my slicks.

For MD/VA guys we usually meet up at MD House along I95 then roll up together.
