Thumbs up DMV People Never Drive anywhere

This is my bish post for the year. We never drive anywhere as a group. I go down to the VA beach area all the time. If you dont drive like a douch, all of our cars get 20+ miles to the gallon, and Im boosted and I get that. So its not a money issue. Yall complain about gas yet drop 100 bucks at the bar on friday nights and never get up early to roll down to Richmond or Yorktown for meets.

Im telling yall, some of the best people, cars, and meets are in the SOVA area.

The Christmas post above has folks from VA Beach, Portsmouth areas driving to Newport News, its a hike for all of us to meet up, I just dont get why all of you with your VOLKS, and high audio systems flake out on all drives that are over 25 miles blamining it on gas prices! By a Prius if you want to save on gas! G30-FI is ALWAYS up here at meetings, meets, and charity events. He has a wife and kid, so I just dont get the level of effort into expanding your car network simply by putting a few miles on your trailer queens.

One of the best meets to date was a pouring down rain, Frederick Nissan Meet, I remember all the post about its too far. Its in freggin Maryland! any "attached state is not far, for the record."

Ok ready for the back lash!

LMAO!

lol im just saying. its like why dont we ever?

1. do trip to KY to see Hal and the 1000HP Z Monster?
2. Tail of the Dragon more than when Zs are there, if we go, we bring the Z/G entertainment.
3. The Yorktown fall and spring cruze is off the hook
4. Richmond guys are the nices people on the planet
5. Wheels to Heal is a Richmond meet that actually has value vs, beer n wings at BWW! (I love BWW) but you get my drift.
6. Summit Point Raceway use to be once a month.

I am married with two kids and i swear these playstation babies are just that. They rather get online and play with a bunch of dudes across the world than to get out to a charity meet and hook up with some "keeper" chick that wants the save the planet.

I love these cars, they are built to be driven. I didnt drive to work for 4.5 years yet managed 30K+ miles a year on GZILLA. What gives people?

lol

Skyline Drive?

211?

610/611

Atlanta Speedway

Indinapolis 500

New York has some mean shops and whips too!

lets get moving people!

lol

I am down to roll to St. Louis any weekend as long as there is not snow and zilla has been on I70 in light snow headed to St. Louis, do even snow is not a 100% deal breaker.

I have room and board for about 15 if we roll. (yes the homes are that big in that area. lol) Bud light and Miller light is on tap at the house, no need to drive to a bar, the party comes to you.

Mid A has been quiet for too long. Its time to get the BBQs and things going, however we need to get off our brakes and head down to SOVA and NC to show some love to the guys and gals out that way.

Im also considering a route 66 drive with my fam.

Chicago to CA baby!

Hell we cant even get people to the Friday night Dulles Chick Fil A meets and Im telling you its hard to get 200 cars on a regular basis anywhere. You can go as long as its above 50 out, and see crazy cars like LS2 V8 cars with little horse logos on the bonnet.

the supercharged yellow 800rwhp monster z06 is boring now. Camero ZL1 (supercharged from the factory) all types of cars...

its too far...gas.... too much traffic.....waaaaa

LMAO!

I love this sport of modding and driving these cars. I had kids and a job that has limited Internet. Now my kids are a bit older and I have a cake job again, so its time to fire things back up and get the Mid A back to the #1 visited site in the IB (or whoever owns these forums) like it once was.

We had trolls from all over the globe on this section of my350. We have our own classified section for crying out loud.

Time to step it up all over, not just me. all of us. Beer pong, atlantic city, philli cheesesteak runs, the entire 9!

I joined my350z because of the limit pushers on this platform. They blew engines up left and right trying to dial things in back in 2004/5/6, now things are relatively ironed out. Hence the beast of a Vortech under my hood.

I got all that from My350z not necessrily g35driver. But I switched because of all the complaints about gas, money and crap from people with 3500 rims BEFORE tires. Come on, you can buy rims but not two tanks of gas. GTFO!

lol

this is my family away from home. My home is exactly 877 miles door to door. I have to lean on you clowns to get that advice, spirit, motivation to keep going.

I crashed up Zilla real bad going to the monday night kingstowne meet Nov 1, 2010, it took a year to get her back and guess what she is still at Hills getting the final touches.

So if I can stay in the game, make meets finish my masters, have two kids, keep my wife, not sleep on the couch (too much) and afford gas, then 99% of the folks on here can too. Our priority is not on the car anymore. And I too have went through a stage where I wanted to quit... but I still made meets I still helped with an exhaust, springs, rim swap whatever...

I need all of you to keep my sanity sometimes, without a good drive or trip to the track, I just might try to crack the sound barrier when its not so safe to do so.

the more I drive the slower I am on public roads. Trust me, I am that guy now doing 55 in the slow lane. After the car went sideways in 4th by bogging it and letting it run through the rpms...then went sideways... it has my full attention. lol

just saying, lets plan to plan to make this section back to #1 on the VQ planet. I cant believe other sites were stood up and survived. we had the entire VQ world locked down at one point. There was no other site. It was MY350z even for G35 drivers.

ill do my best to host, and plan things in 2012 to keep the vibes going. I might ask a mod to change my SN to G ZILLA so that I have the same on both sites so that folks understand who I am. lol

Do I get bonus points for being at the Frederick event in the rain? I wouldn't have gone if it were more than 5 minutes away.

Sidenote...I don't drive my car because it always breaks and hurts after driving for more than an hour.

Edit: Didn't realize this was you Corey ... forgot this was Driver and not my350.

If my car doesnt sell I may just be back out at it next year with the car all dialed in. We need more late night weeknight stuff

My work schedule has me work allot of weekends. I can count on one hand the meets I missed this last year that occured when I was off work.

I am off allot of midweek days though

Got an initial payment with a date for rest of downpayment for a agreed amount to hold the car. Then through a series of events he had to find a new place to live and allot of stuff changed so now im a couple bucks richer but with no buyer

It was a guy I know pretty well soo im not really upset and I understand what happened. I may still part the car out just to get something different or i may end up just putting it back on the road and start driving it allot more then I have been. I hate seeing it sit which is why I was selling it in the first place.

Didn't read everything, but I am constantly driving to events in va, md, dc, did the philly cheesteak run, skyline drive, etc, I am always down, but I agree its impossible to get people out, which is why I mostly stick to the track now
