SPL solid diff bushings. I also just put some new Whiteline endlinks on. Those along with a new alignment and new tires the car is handling 10x better now.

It's amazing what new solid bushings can do for your handling. Any in cabin noise or harshness with the SPL?

Honestly there's too much noise and vibration before the solid bushings so I really don't notice anything new.

Is there an 'average' life span for a set of coilovers? My rears are making a metal on metal sound so I took them around the corner to get up on a lift. Unfortunately they wouldn't touch my car because they said it was too low for them, but talking to one of the mechanics he told me on average a set of coils only lasts 2-3 years at best.

Is this true???

Not entirely true. It really depends on how much you drive and how much load you put on it. Some say 2, 3 years. Some say 30k, 40k miles. But in the worst case you can always get them rebuilt for a few hundred bucks instead of having to replace them completely.

Can I take them to any reputable shop to have them rebuilt or will I have to contact HKS directly? Guess I'll know more once I actually get someone to look at them.

The infamous "strut clunk." Happens on a lot of coil overs and even certain stock shocks. No one really knows why but it doesn't necessarily mean the coil went bad. From my research, a lot of people have this issue. In fact, I have it currently on the RS. When I put in my PSS9's 5-6 yrs ago, they clunked on the 1st week with less than 100 miles on the coils. Since then I've put on about 80k miles and they still perform great till this day. What you should be worried about is if they start leaking black ooze; that's when you know they're truly dunzo.

I just hope they don't need to be replaced. When I bought these, they only cost $1800. Just checked online and HKS coilovers are starting at $2500 and up.

Update: Just got back from a shop and both rears are blown and leaking, so they'll definitely have to be replaced. Not sure if you can only purchase a set of rears from what I'm seeing so far online.
