Unfortunately my 370Z was destroyed in a rear end collision in May, and I needed a new car fast. I had been driving the 350Z/370Z for about 11 years, and wanted something different.

Originally I was shopping for the G37 Sport, but when I saw the IPL, I knew that this was the car for me. The IPL engine is similar to the 370Z NISMO: plenty of punch for a sedan that weighs about 4,000 pounds.

Very pleased with my decision.

 

You don't feel the G37 is MUCH slower than your 370Z?

 

David, when did you move to AZ? I just moved out here in April, living up in Carefree and working in Tempe.

 

Thanks for asking. I moved from Baltimore to Tucson in April 2013. No more snow so you can safely drive a rear wheel drive vehicle year round.

It was just a simple question. Honestly, if the G's weren't so much slower than the Z's I would be in one of those instead, given my height and all.

 

Both are slow AF, it's all relative.

For about 6 months out of the year, the Tucson drag strip is hotter than a SOB. Figure 100 plus degrees: not for fair-weather racers like myself.

I will try to get some times for the G37 in September.

 

The G37 IPL is about 10.6 lbs/hp. Very similar to the 370Z.

STI has axleback exhaust on it, sounds louder than the Z.
