car went under the knife today, hopefully i can take off the bandages tomorrow or thursday, so zoom about a bit on thursday night and then up to richmond should give me a nice 100 mile easy shakedown period on the new bits

More or less. They canceled my flight within China so that was a little different. had to change airports and flights, then re-book a taxi from the aiport to the hotel but all in all it went pretty smootly. Spent some miles and bumped myself from business to first class. Turned out I was the only person in first class so I had several complimentary massages on the flight which after not sleeping for 40 hours was quite nice.

Heh, we splurged last night and had 2 portions of filet mignon, vegetables, fruit salad, ice cream, 2 beers, bread and soup, for $16.

Also managed to find a Starbucks about 50 minutes from the hotel.

 

still dunno if i'll be able to make it in the next week or two... apparently i'm waiting on a couple parts for my final drive install that do not exist in north america... go figure
