Raced a 350z yesterday
So ever since it's come out i've been pretty fasinated with it. IF i ever get sick of my GTI i'll probably get one. So anyways, i spent like an hour chacing a black 350z and when i finally raced it, it was and auto 
and i raped it so i was pretty upset but anyways. the main reason i started this post is i live in the milwaukee, WI area and if any of you guys wanna hang out with our group of friends it would be nice to have 1 or 2 in the group so here is a list of the cars we roll with

He ran a 14.1 with a 2.5 60' time. That means from a stop, his car sucks at launching due to lots of boost and having a FWD car. Once he gets grip though, his car pulls hard enough to still manage a 14.1 
That is a car that is VERY dangerous from a roll. I don't know what kind of 60' times Zs are getting, but a Z with a 2.5 60' time probably wouldn't hit a 14.1 pass.

i love how defensive many Z owners are.. i drive one but i'm not oblivious to other cars that are capable of beating it.. granted many of these guys have modded cars but still.. a gti w/ a turbo upgrade is not going to get good 60' time becase they are 4-cylinders and all their power is high end.. noted by his almost 100mph trap speed.. im willing to be that if they me on the street if the driver did have vdc on and wasnt that good of a driver.. he did probably get RAPED.. now if you were in so. cal i'd race you for sure to see how fast your car really is.. in good fun of course.

if his car "did" have that much top end pull then he would trap MUCH higher than 99.5mph.
For example in my maxima with nitrous on street tires I ran 14.0@104mph with a 2.45 60ft...there is NO WAY (unless he let off and braked before the finish line) that he pulled that time with that 60' and trap. It simply doesn't add up.

look at his trap speed 99 mph
i mean..even though u burned major rubber on 1st and 2nd gear, u still could pass that jetta after 90 mph or so.

YOu can't be ignore the fact that there r other cars faster than you. Cuz i was until two days ago when a CL 800 Benz rolled up beside me. I said ok a family sedan wants to race. I gunned it and was left in an array of smoke coming from dual exhausts. So we slowed down to a roll and he told me that it was a 500hp v12 powered Benz that cost him 120,000!! Never again will i underestimate family sedans with a Benz logo!

WOW, the arrogance is powerful in this forum. Much more powerful than the Z. The car is not that fast. It's a nice car with way too many rattles, skid plates are glued on, tranny problems, visor rattles, shocks and valves out of sync, uncomfortable ride, cheap leather. It's basically over-priced. But hey, it's a car. And at that one that IS NOT very fast. There are Civic's everywhere that can smoke the Z. Please, get over it. This forum is about sharingnot fighting. Please give me points!

the Z doesn't sucks...every car has some kind of problem at one point or another...so stop acting like a 13 year old...
having said that, the Z is NOT the best car in the world...i hope Z owners know that...
i personally plan on getting one next summer...but by then i think there will be other competable cars in the market....like STi and evo8....they are all in the same price range...(roughly)...

I believe him with his 14.1 @ 99. I have seen many cars do similiar times... like my 78 pontiac. I had a major traction problem and had 2.5-2.7 60' times and always had a 99-100mph trap speed. If you read magazines like Hot Rod, you will see that launches have a lot to do with your ET, but very little to do with the trap speed. The trap speed is all about horsepower. I am not sure if I completely understand it, but I know that I have seen it proven and I have proven it myself. If I cut a 2.2 60' time, the ET went down, but the mph stayed at 99. If I cut a 2.7 60' time, the ET went up, but the mph stayed at 99...
