Tell me what that has to do with a 350Z and I'll give you my car.
Second of all....I've done BOTH...I ran an auto LS1 SS from a 70 roll and put a few carlenghts on him. I posted it a few weeks ago. I also ran a new GT with a gear, intake and exhaust and very slowly pulled out on him.
Think whatever you want. You obviously came on here to troll and not add ANY useful information to threads. We have our "cool" domestic guys on here that I have absolutely no problem with, and then we have guys like you that think that just because they mod their mustang, nothing from Japan could ever stand a chance of beating it.
EDIT: Actually, looking at your mods that you have on your 2001 GT, I'd say that my car would give YOU a good run for your money if not beat you.....keep on trolling....

"Ummm....Who are you talking to???"
HAH. The video quality was so bad and my sound was turned off and I didn't notice that it was a truck.. Stupid me
I was assuming the guy posting was showing that a Z could beat a 5.0. My appologies

I'm not some domestic car owner who thinks japanese cars suck. I'm perfectly aware that the build quality and engineering of japan is superior to that of an american mustang
But, from a dead stop with a semi experienced driver, there's no way you could beat an SS.
If you pulled on a GT with gears you are a pretty good driver or the GT owner wasn't, because a GT with gears should be anywhere between 13.7 and 13.5 with basic bolt bolt ons.. assuming traction isn't an issue
The Z's and GT's stock are both around 14 flat in the quarter mile. Its a driver's race.
I've driven my friend's new Z and you have a great car.. Excuse my misconception above. I still love the sound and torque of my V8 though
Peace
p.s. i'd still race you

BTW - It's not like my car is as slow as **** or something...if I catch an LS1 driver who's unexperienced or sleeping at the line...he's done.
My old maxima ran mid 14s off the bottle and I beat a few LS1s from dead stops on the street and on the track simply becuase of the driver...but a win is a win.
Please don't be one of those people who comes on here and says "well you beat that car, but in this other situation I gaurantee that you would lose." come on...that's such BS...take it for what it is...one single experience...not meant to set a worldwide standard for every race between two cars.

Anyone else see a similar video with a Z28 vs. an Acura CL-S (I think)? Cameraman was the Acura driver's bud but was riding along with the Camaro driver. The excuses spouted off by the Camaro driver were simply embarrassing. I think the reason for his big losses went from a slipping cluth to the fact that he didn't take the t-tops off (they weigh all of 40-50lbs). Why can't some guys take a loss like a man and just give a thumbs up?

Ahhhhhhh! Why the hell does every single post on this sight turn into a pissing contest between Mustangs and Z's?! It should be apparent that the cars are extremely close, and I would say that the Z even has a slight edge (gasp!!) on the GT! So what! Mod them like you want, run them as you brung um! Good grieve, is that so hard?! Any race can come down to driver, I took a Viper in my Bullitt the other day from a roll. I was at the next stop light, but he was trying! lol. wowwe. He then went about rapping my *** from the next stop light, until he hit a bump in the road at about 110mph and backed off. Wow, I was ahead of him again! But from the next stop he put 5 bus lenghts on my carby 100. Who care! I don't. I knew he was faster. So take every race with a grain of salt, view them for what they are, an examination of the drivers more-so than the car; to a point anyway. Sorry for the rant, but I am tired of seeing these pissing contest. Wow, so a modded GT could maybe beat a Z! Whoopde dang do. The reflects badly on the GT, more than saying anything good.
Alright, I will stop now, sorry for the long post that I really don't even understand.
