Speedventures: Roebling Road (May) & Sebring (June)

Roebling Road:
Roebling Road is a very popular track located new Savannah Georgia. RR offers both the opportunity for high speed on the long straight as well as a good combination of high-speed sweepers. We will be running the full course. We will also be offering AMB transponder-based timing, as usual, and in celebration of our first event in Georgia, timing will be free of charge while supplies last!

Sebring:
The oldest and most famous track in continuous use in America, Sebring is the legendary site of some of the greatest moments ever to take place in racing history. Moments such as Stirling Moss' 1954 upset win, the first ever Formula 1 race on American soil, and Dan Gurney's attempt to push his car across the finish line for the win. We will be running the 3.7 mile, 17 turn course (the 12-Hour course) for this event, just 2 weeks after the 12 Hours of Sebring takes place.

I will be doing it also in May with Chin will I still need an instructor for your event in June?

 

That would be up to you. It's not required for you.

SpeedVentures will again be at Sebring on June 14th and 15th, 2003
Price: $250 one day / $375 both days (+ $30 per day instructor fee required for novices)

Duration: 2 day / 4+ hours of track time per group!

At our last Sebring event, there were only 20 cars and the track was basically open all day for 8 hours of track time per day! Though we can only promise over 4 hours per day, odds are you'll get much more track time than that!

savannah was cancelled due to lack of interest!

 

Yep, as unhappy as we were to do it, there were a total of 6! drivers signed up, and there was no way we could fly out to run the event for 6 people. We're really bummed; it's the first time we've opened registration on an event and had to cancel

 

WOW, I hope it is going better for Sebring, I am counting down the days.

 

Sebring is going "ok", but obviously if you know anyone who'd be interested, please tell them about it In any case, Sebring will not be cancelled, even if we don't get another signup between now and the event...but it would be *nice* to get more signups

 

I live in Savannah for college. Anyone want to meet up and cruise around for a while? I'd like to take some photos of a buncha Z's!

I'm also spreading the word.

Fluxen and Krazik, trying logging on to www.tamparacing.com and drop a message there. They claim to have several thousand members in the Tampa Bay area. They do drag racing and AutoX. A recent newspaper article on "tuners" said one member did track days at Sebring. I'm sure we can get a few from there.
