I was able to encounter a couple other 350s within my area. I had the oppurtunity to do a few safe pulls with them, seperate times. But both times, I pulled away at a slow and steady pace? Are they loaded down with stereo equipment? They were not autos, they were stick, and one encounter was without a launch, so I would have thought that our two cars would stay very very even no?

ive heard of cars making varying amounts of power from the factory, but usually turbo cars, such as the subaru and mitsubishi or even that new dodge?

 

All cars vary in amounts of power. Some people get factory turds, some get factory freaks.

It's possible you got a better car. And extra weight in the other cars, or the fact that you out drove them matters as well.

LS1 cars are known for a wide range of times and powers for example. At the wheels, they put down 290-325 rwhp. That's a pretty large difference.

The 3.5 is known for having turds and goodies, lots of Maximas and Altimas and G35 guys have noticed and said similiar things. I have driven a few 02/03 Maximas and 3 350's and notice differences in them in accelleration.

 

I ran into a redline 350z and I pulled slowly but steadily past him on two runs.. when we got to the light he asked me if I had anything done which I did not at the time.. it would be awesome if i had a factory freak but I'm guessing I just took it further to the redline or something.
