I don’t know of any threads that have details... I called Jared to explain the symptoms, and he mentioned the new ETC update... that’s where I found out it was a common problem for Titans that upgraded cams... I mentioned it to Shawn Church and he had just downloaded the update...

Even more of a coincidence is that Derek (dsskyline on driver) had recently downloaded the update with his Pro Tuner and it addressed an issue he was having at the track (brought his 60' times way down) - he happens to be the guy that sold me the cams.

Ironically, a year ago when Shawn initially tuned my AT we did some road tuning to get things dialed in down low (since dynapack starts reading only at 3K) - it was so successful that he used my map for others low end on AT (even remote)... Weird how things come and go full circle.

This is the only thread that I've seen that even touches on it:http://g35driver.com/forums/drag/251...13-49-5at.html
For more info, try PMing dsskyline

After Shawn loads it on mine and we tweak with road tuning, I'll update here (or send you a PM since it might bore some ppl). I guess some of what’s going on in this thread should be in the Osiris thread… I’ll probably post there when it’s all worked out.

Is the update available only for the pro-tuners?

I'll send Church an email.

when I meantioned "Pro Tuner", I meant the end user software (thats what Derek is using)... I'm sure the update is available for anyone using Osiris... however you get your downloads, it's available.

Awesome man. You are making me excited to upload my new rom with the ETC update. Hopefully this will remove the lag I have below 2.5K .

Do you still still get the lag when you brake torque?

I'm sure it will... you saw what it did for Derek (dsskyline)... Shawn had Todd tune his coupe a couple days ago and told Todd not to say what all was done (blind test)... he noticed low end response to (and the ETC was loaded)...

I wish no one knew about it... shhhh let's not say anything else

haven’t tried - but I'm 99.99% yes... I'm working on getting that addressed... that’s been a pet peeve for years... I'm hopeful its drawing to a conclusion... if I find a fix I might not be able to mention - because I'm certain the reason the power cuts is for safety (from idiots panicking and slamming on brakes and accelerator at same time)... if a fix happens, it will probably be on the down low for liability reasons.

I bet the car must be fun as hell to drive. Your dyno chart looks very similar to mine (although you probably have a little more topend than me). Do you have any other plans for your car?

might get it back in to have valve lash adjusted - exhaust side is OEM specs so a little loose (JWT specs are a bit tighter) - which means the valves are opening a bit late... adjustment might give a little gains (not worth the expense, but nothing on my car lately has been)... doing some suspension stuff this weekend

Other than that just more cosmetic stuff...

FWIW, I figure I’ll mention – the headers are heating the air intake temps CRAZY!!! It’s ridiculously hot… so some thermal management is on tap too… got some things to try and if they work reasonably well, I’ll mention here (in case others can benefit).

It's still there, but not as bad as before the ETC tune. Did Shawn upgrade your rom for you yet? I'm dsskyline on driver.

Yep . He sent it to me yesterday. I cant wait to try it out. I'm hoping the ETC mod will allow me to get 1.8-1.9 60ft times like you (with the lag I'm able to get 2.0 60ft times).

I wont be able to try it out until this weekend though

Wrapping the intake tube & the MAF with heat-shielding foil works wonders. When the car is stationary the intake temps are on average 15-20 degrees cooler (I'm not kidding. I was pleasantly surprised when I logged the temps). Makes a difference off idle

did you use the silver stuff or gold stuff?... I've only even seen silver - Shawn was the first time I ever seen/heard about using gold

Ooops, I just realized I'm cross-referencing the driver thread here... mentioned the material to dsskyline on driver... thats why I'm taking about gold foil here.

Yeah, after installing headers, I noticed my IAT's got pretty hot. Wrapping definitely helps. Box, MAF, intake tube.

Nice! Thanks

Wrapping the MAF is gonna be a b!tch - this stuff is $32 per 1' X 3' No margine for error Got any pointers? I can't afford to f-up and start again... Well I guess I could, but prefer not to.

Your build is very inspiring! Great job! :-)

Wrapping the intake wasn't too hard to do... I think I spent about $70 bucks on the whole thing. It did bring my IAT's down about 20C...

I feel bad for the guys running open short rams like teh pop charger...

Great write-up and clips. Now lets get to the dragstrip and see how those dyno numbers translate to ET.
