The only mod I have done is the pop charger. I am soon going to buy the PowerLab spacer for it but I thought I would ask first about that revving (I am a noob in the 350z details, and this forum is so huge to research...).

Can a plenum fix that problem? For example the Crawford one? And what other N/A upgrades do you guys recommend?
If you don't like first and second gears in your Z, don't get gears. 4.08 gears make all the gears lower than they already are. Sounds like you need to rev that baby a bit more to me...

I think he means that it just seems like its making a lot of engine noise but not accelerating as fast as he wants. With a 4.08, the butt-dyno will feel it in 1st and 2nd assuming one maintains traction, which tends to become rather difficult.

Exactly. That's why I wouldn't recommend 4.08 gears to him.

I understand the concept. I have 4.08 gears. It just doesn't seem that this guy would like them from reading his post.

We must be interpreting his meaning differently. I was under the impression it was a total subjective "feel" issue, and unrelated to actual speedometer speed, but I think I know what you're saying too.

Haha. Yeah, I've got 4.08 gears too... Sometimes I don't even use 1st gear... Just go straight to 2nd. But over all, I'm very happy with teh gearz from an acceleration standpoint. I've caught several people off gaurd with them. I wouldn't even think of going back to 3.54 gears. :-)

The title of this thread is "Best Bang Per Buck N/A Upgrades." In my opinion, rear end gears are the best bang for the buck for an NA car. No question about it.

It seemed to me that the OP was saying his gears were already too low. That's why I said lower gears might not be for him. Maybe I read his post wrong... IDK...

how is this in the "N/A build" section?

This subforum of the Engine & Drivetrain forum is strictly for naturally aspirated engine builds - all motor. This includes, but not limited to, information regarding individual throttle bodies, pistons, cams, and other relevant parts information for a full N/A build.

Refrain from posting irrelevant and useless information, like ones about exhausts and intake.

because he was NOT asking for someone's advice on a turbo or S/C set-up....gears can be an addition to an NA build (OR a FI one)....i know it is not a stroker kit, or a long block build that was suggested, but it does fall under the ancilliary mods list on an NA list...

i would personally say that the gears would be a good call too, but they will definitely hurt his gas mileage, thus not really being the best bang for the buck-in a long term scenario...

05 track should be a revup, so no go on the spacer without the mrev2 which is a bit too much $ imo.

i would go for test pipes and gears.
