price, I got them for around 200 bucks off ebay and they looked almost new. plus they were coated already so it saved me some cash. they look really good compared to a lot of the cheaper headers Ive seen. I know they arn't the best performing but I couldn't pass on it for that price.

From what I've read and seen, the Strup, Megan, Ichiba, Topspeed and a few others are DC Sport clones, so its safe to say the they all have the same design so they should all perform and sound the same?
I know Tomei, Crawford and Nismo are the best but they are overly expensive.

strup and DC are clones. I've seen stillen, megan, and topspeed in person and they are a little different, collectors didn't look as nice either.
crawford were supposed to be good but I don't think I've seen hard evidence of that.
nismo look good too but they are expensive
tomei are proven to be good when paird up with their cams

Topspeed huh? ill look it. theyre really cheaper. There are a bunch of knock offs on ebay for under $60 but theres no brand and the price itself is reason to be alarmed.

Ok, im back with one more decision to make still... Cams. I dont know too much about cams but i understand the gist of them. I'm leaning more towards the S7R's but I recently read about Cosworths ZK1 Cams for the Revup, anyone else heard of these cams?
Specs:
Intake Cams "268" deg. 10.4mm lift
Exhaust Cams "268" deg. 9.5mm lift
I only plan on raising the redline to 8k but will never shift that far. I see alot of guys who get cams go big, but their idle is roughand their powerbands shift to the top to get power. I want to keep my low-end/ mid-range where its at, i want just a little more power past 7.2k where the stock cams fall off. I know I have to sacrifice but this is kinda what Im looking for out of my setup.
Anyone have suggestions?

Subscribed. Interested to see the final numbers. I am going to be building my motor this winter after the race season is over. Your build list is about the same as mine. I was leaning towards the S7's as well. Good luck and can't wait to the see the numbers.

Update!
2/17/11
I went and got a baseline dyno done to see where Im at now before the build/tuning. Ill post the actual dyno this week sometime.
with my current mods on the car:
Z-tube
Modded OEM Air Box
K&N Filter
MRev2 Manifold
5/16 Plenum Spacer
Bassani True Dual Catback
Kinetix HFC's
I dynoed at 251whp and 232wtq. I wasnt too impressed but you gotta start somewhere

1) Oil consumption (blow by) loss of power/compression, this was confirmed back in 09
2) Exhaust leak (had a leak at both manifolds due to lose bolts and crooked gaskets
3) Gaskets from HFC's to catback flange where incorrect size, partly blocking exhaust flow, also causing slight rasp.
So these factors are a good reason for the low numbers.
this will ALL be fixed in this build
