Default Cams for HR track car with a custom exhaust (LTH & 3.7L in future)

I have an opportunity to buy and install upgraded cams now but I won't be able to install long tube headers and potentially do 3.7L until probably next season.

I need to replace the oil gallery gaskets now so I'm thinking about replacing the cams while I'm at it. I don't know which ones to get though, e.g. JWT or Tomei, 264 or 272, 10.8 lift? Which ones should I get with my next year's goal in mind and can I install them now with stock headers? Pros, cons?

To complicate things even more, I'm building a custom exhaust next month and I was planning to do decats and a simple 2x2,3'' -> Y design with a stock type muffler at the end. Do I need to change this design if I want to install the cams now and PPE LTH in future?

I would get it all tuned after cams and exhaust. My goal is a NA track car.

No opinions? Does it make sense to install something like 280i/272e cams with stock headers and a 2x2,3'' ->Y exhaust for now but with a plan to install LTH in future?
Perhaps I should go with something more mild like 264/264? Or shoud I just leave stock cams for now and only install bigger cams when I do LTH and the car will be a dedicated track car?

Go with a 2x2.5" into a 3" for fluid mechaincs reasons. Something like 272/272 would probably suit you really well once the LTH are on

Do you mind tuning the car twice?

^shouldn't be a problem.

My exhaust guy is suggesting stock diameter decats going into 2,5" Y and mid pipe for best power gains if staying with <400hp NA.
