Default Combination of Camshaft durations and lifts

Noob NA question here...

Has anyone done any set ups with combination of camshafts? (ie. JWT C8 on Intake and C2 on exhaust)

I've read up on MotoIQ's project 350z build and it seemed like a great idea. I know that 2thPwr runs a wild combination of camshafts, but he's in the upper limits of the powerband for the most part.

The reason I ask is I'm trying to see if doing something like this would be a happy medium for both the street and on the track.

Well I don't know about a C8/C2 combo but if you look at the Kelford cams for a NA application they run different durations for intake and exhaust

https://www.kelfordcams.com/global/c...n/vq35de-gen-1

And I believe 2thPwr runs C10/C9 combo

Somebody that knows more than me needs to answer the question regarding the benefits but there is a precedence for it. Try calling Jim Wolf with your question and let us know what they say
