now that it is getting cold, i notice that with a cold engine my oil pressure is very high until the engine temp rises. how high is safe for engine oil pressure? granted that it is inly like 50 outside and my pressures are already high. what happens when it is 15 outside?

 

Just let your car idle, warming the engine before you take off. I generally let mines get to about about half way on the pressure gauge before I go anywhere. Don't go driving your car hard right away til your engine is completely warm.
