You get 10 free questions, but answers cost a buck.

Because its easy to blame tires for poor handling rather than your inapt driving skills. I drove at Summit Point, WV in the rain with OEM tires. I had some frightening situations with oversteer, and one hair raising 360, but it wasn't the tires. My driving skills are not up to the performance of the 350Z on OEM tires. As you can see from my signature, I’ve replaced the OEM tires with Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3. My skills have come a long way since that day at Summit Point, and the new tires give me an extra margin of confidence.

wow. road racing during rain? It took me 2 weeks to spin out my Z. It was raining, slid into a curb, snapped a tourque bar (what the dealer called it) $680 repair tag. Oh, and VDC was off. Never again will i play in the rain.

The last photo is a straightaway. The 350Z can easily redline fourth gear. The straightaway is fun in the rain, but the problem is the first turn.

Please don't kill me for the phrase “your inapt driving skills.” I don't mean “you” personally. I mean 350Z drivers like myself who are new to high performance sports cars.
