Hi all!

New to this site but wanted to check it out. Hope all vehicle enthusiasts are welcome here. I do not own a 350Z but my older brother and his lady have a his and her thing going.

I told him I would sign up here and learn what I can about the 350Z's. After this little intro I will start with the newb questions O.K.? This way I get to learn about the competition first hand!

Ditto buddy!

What the hell! I'll start stomping my own thread. My brother has a yellow, 05, 6 speed, 350Z which he loves. Can't blame him, it is a sweet ride. He was asking about 1/4 mile times and I honestly couldn't tell him. I said "gotta be a sub 14 second car. Probably closer to mid-thirteens. From quickly scanning this site, it seems I am pretty close to the mark. Thoughts?

He also said that it is a 35th anniversary Z and it feels faster, wider, and more stable then his previous red 03. He was told that the anniv. only came in yellow but that seems wrong too. Next year we are gonna go over to Lebabnon Valley dragstrip and have some fun! I think he would like to tweak a few HP out of her but can't afford much. Best bang for the buck anyone? And major differences over the 03's vs. 04's vs. 05's? Too big a question perhaps?

Please don't hammer me for asking silly questions. What is easy for some is completely new to me. I am a proud Camaro owner but admire and respect your cars! In fact, I love most cars. I got to drive his and while I may not be an owner yet, I would feel pretty damn cool hammering up and down the road in one of these.

I think he'd like to be faster then me but we aren't disrespecting each other over it. We like both cars. I told him: "I think I will get you as long as we are going straight, if we come to a bend... well, that's where I'll lose ya."

Does that sound right? And PS: I'll start scanning all the threads so my newbie questions don't get out of hand!!!

Thanks

Thanks for the welcome! Anyone able to field some of my questions?

Anniversary edition: Yellow only? Anything different on them? I haven't been able to find any kind of badging or marks that make it a "special" edition. I am a little concerned that he was duped. It is still a great car no matter what but are there different parts or mod's that a stock 350Z doesn't have?

Stock 1/4 mile times? (approximately. It is a 05, automatic)

Thanks and is there a "spec. sheet" somewhere where I could find a lot of this information for myself?

Thanks again!
