Hey everyone. I just got my first Z last weekend and I had a question I hoped someone could answer. The 03 (which I have) is rated at 287hp. The 05 and newer are rated at 300hp. I haven't done any mods yet, and thier is a reason, and wanted to know what the differance is the makes the extra hp in the 05-06 models. Back the the reason for NO MODS, my GF loves the car so much. I'm thinking of giving it to her for her b-day in a month and buying another. If I can get the extra hp out of the 03-04 model, my dealer has another 03 I can get at a good price insted of forking out the extra dough for a 05-06. Thanks for any input and info. Well just so you know..the 300 HP engines have less torque than the 287 HP engines.

287 HP
274 TQ

versus

300 HP
260 TQ

2006 models also weigh more. Keep those factors in mind.
