Just got my first Z yesterday, and I'm loving it!. I got the Base in Interlagos Fire. Will post pictures soon.

I'm thinking about having the windows tinted next week, and would like to know if anyone has advice for me on that. I've basically got two questions:

1. Is there once process that is better than others?

2. Although it is illegal to tint certain windows, it seems everyone does anyway. Anyone ever get ticketed for it?

First of all, Welcome.

In california, I'm told that there's no % tint legal on the drivers window and front passenger windows. A 50% tint is not an attention getter. I've got 35% on front sides and 20% on the 3 rears. I think 20% on the rear 3 is a good thing for anyone, because of the possible sun damage and privacy concerns. I would probably stay away from tint that is metallized, on the front side windows, because the reflection would make it more obvious to law enforcement from a distance. When you shop for tint, pay attention to the optical clarity of the brand you're looking at. Some of the samples that I looked at, when shopping, either distorted a straight line, or slightly blurred objects.
