Hi Pros,

Just, last week I bought a brand new 05 35th anniversary edition (yellow and 6spd). But, when I tried to park my car so close to the parking lot in a near by supermarket,; the front bumper hit the platform and the center part of the front bumper got cracked. Guys, I am so upset, it is not even a week. Why in the world, Nissan makes that so fragile? what can I do to fix it? I already put the nose mask to cover the crack. Even, if I change the bumper, it can happen any time again because, it is just made of fiber. Folks, I will sincerely appreciate your suggestions to protect the fragile bumper.

if you know body work then fiber glass can be fixed.. otherwise you will have to take it to a bodyshop and they will either replace it or repair depending on the extent of the damage.. when it is all fixed and done.. try to park a little more carefull and further away from parking guards, bumps or curb. that's all the protection there is really...

other alternatives will be:
1. install a camera on front
2. install IR sensor on lower front
3. install 6 inch thick rubber all around like bumper cars.
5. install 4 inch steel pipe like SUV, running boards
6. raise the Z, slap on off road tires

 

I have a question in addition to the OP's one.

How much roughly would it cost to re-paint the yellow bumper?

Would yellow (E33) cost more than a standard color?

 

100$ plus a case of beer has gotten me many of re-paints on my G`s bumper...
E33 shouldnt cost you a dime more
