First off, great to be here, I hope to get some good information! Secondly, I have one question: I'm getting the Roadster and want Sirius. The dealer tells me that Sirius isn't offered in the convertible. Has anyone been successful getting this installed without having it be aftermarket? There really doesn't seem to be much space to put an aftermarket Sirius unit anywhere on the dashboard and i was REALLY hoping to get it done by the dealership through the factory stereo. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks!

 

That doesn't make much sense...neither XM nor Sirius is exclusive to the Bose on the Z. Use th Build Your Z option on NissanUSA.com and see if it is offered as an option.

But having it done to a car it didn't come on from the factory, is gonna cost a lot. You will need a new Bose HU too. Non-sat radio HUs won't be able to use the factory module.

 

Well, it appears as an option that you can add on. I hadn't heard anything about it not being available until just the other night when the salesman said it wasn't available w/ the convertible. this, of course, he says as i'm signing the papers. so i kinda lit into him b/c i've been talking with him for going on two months and it should have been brought to my attention before now. anyway, hopefully it IS available and he just doesn't know what he's talking about. i guess i'll see when i pick it up tonight!

 

sonuva*****! I just called to see what time i should arrive, and they tell me that the car won't be inspected, etc., until Wednesday. I have to wait another two freakin' days for my car!!! I'm so mad, and i know i sound whiny as hell, but i've been waiting for months for this car!!! DAMMIT
