Happy B-Day to Z
My dad bought a 300ZX in 1984 [and a half]. It was one of the first of these new ones ever around town, and was sweet as anything I ever saw [was 'pewter' I think]. I was barely EVER given permission to get behind the wheel, but I was barely 16 at the time...and my dad knew better!
I was always a Z fan since then, especially the even older ones, as well as this latest generation. So, fast-forward a bunch of years...and I ditched the '88 Toyota MR2, and finally bought my first-ever brand-new vehicle: a 2006 Silverstone 350Z Touring Roadster.
It was a perfect Summer day...July 1, 2006...exactly one year ago today, when we joined forces together. Happy Birthday Z, to you and your 7,471 miles!!
I have been reading around this forum for a while...decided to introduce myself here per forum etiquette, before posting much elsewhere. A few months ago, I added my first modification: put on a UR lightweight Pulley kit, and a Borla cat-back enhaust. Sounds just great to me, but then I added an Injen CAI [love the threads debating about the CAIs vs poop chargers!] and it sounds totally sweet now...sweet to me anyway.
Anyway I am still loving it, after a full one year later, and 48 more payments left to go! A main thing propelling me through this Summer is when I wake up, and its like 77 degrees, and the sun is shining to maybe partly cloudy, and she's just sitting there in the garage, patiently waiting to drive me to work!
