Default 350Z on Eibach Sportline + Tokico D-Spec DSP-9

Hello everyone,

Got my car beginning of July and its already dropped. Its an 03 used, got it in mint condition with 31K miles. I only have mild mods so far: k&n drop-in, motordyne 5/16 plenum spacer, UR cats, G35 stock 18s.

For suspension, I went for the "best bang for the buck while getting rid of the rear bounce" and I'm quite happy with it. I used SPC camber kits all around. I had SMA install them for me. Its only been about 3 days since install so they haven't quite 'settled' yet.

I also drilled some holes in the back to adjust the tokico shocks and got a 3mm allen wrench thats 3 inches long to adjust them. I use 2 full turns from firm in the back and 3 in the front.

Thanks to Eddie at TH Motorsports for hooking up the parts

AFTER:

"hail to the Z" but actually i was trying to view the LCD in the bright **** sun =D

Next up:
- Sways
- Wheel spacers... jk!
- Wider wheelsets... don't know if I should go 18s or 19s
- Exhaust
- Headers

Drop difference would be more noticeable if you took it from the side that's facing the sun.

Yeah I'll take more pics... the shadow does get in the way but I was eager to take them right after the wash.

Looking good. CongratZ. Great to see you're well trained taking photos straight after washing the Z.

If you're into handling and tire choices get 18's. Nice choice of susension. I have that setup myself. I run 265/35/18 front, 275/40/18 rear, 2 clicks from full stiff front, 3 clicks from full stiff rear, cusco sway bars full stiff front... This leads to almost perfect handling. My face actually distorts from the G's I can hit on some turns. My Gtech recorded 1.3 G's on a few turns in autoX and several 1.0g's on the street with this setup.

Thanks for the info. I planning to get Hotchkis sways as I read good reviews of them but maybe Cuscos might be a better choice? I'll have to do more research.

Do you hear a loud sound when you go over a pothole? I'm thinking its the fenders but I don't see any rubbing scratches on the tire. On smaller potholes, I don't hear it at all.

Good choice on the SPC, very well made and fully adjustable. They should not be banging, Did SMC use a spring compressor? I would be checking the strut bolts in the front strut tower, they could have backed out. Mine did because a spring compressor was not used and the shock was floating about 1" back spun on the bolt. Damaged a seal and had to replace a shock. It made a terrible loud metal sound over pot holes. Not any more though.

Did you cut the plastic and bang the metal flange on the front inner wheel well for clearance on the SPC? This needs to done.

I have the H&R, Koni Yellows and SPC front & rear.
I will see if I can find a pic of the flange I was talking about. But check the front strut bolts.

Your car looks very aggressive with the H&R', good choice.

Edit: Thought you went with the H&R, my bad. The Tok's look great! Prolly did not need a spring compressor if they are coil overs.

Here ya go, the small flange that needs to be whacked a couple of times with a heavy hammer, and a piece of the plastic needs to be trimmed. This is so the SPC upper control arm will clear the flange.

Here is one of the Z's parked in my garage. 06 MT Touring IF. The H&R at 1.3 drop front & 1.0 drop rear is a good combo, not to mention the German quality in the manufacturing. Paired with Koni Yellows.

The cut is at the center of the ball joint in pic. You cannot see it, its only about an 1/8 -1/4" flange. You can see the plastic trimmed like a "V" shape.

I plan to, as soon as I figure out why my upper arms is hitting the fender well. Thanks ZeeForce for all your help, maybe we can meet and you can show me how yours was done? Or hook me up with your installer cuz the guys at SMA won't help me.
