First of all, I'd like to introduce myself. My name's Tim and I'm a police officer from Louisiana. I've been looking at the Z for quite some time.
Well, I woke up one morning about 2 weeks ago and decided I'd take the plunge.
The only "mods" that I have are some blue LED's, limo tint and gps. Other than that I'll probably find some nice black rims for her but I have no idea where to start.

Congrats on the Z!
I believe you are the only police officer on this forum.
But yeah, nice color choice as well...only thing is black is a pain to keep clean..I can sort of tell from your pics, ha.
Good luck!

Thanks! Maybe I shouldn't have admitted to that. =P Oh well, it sure is nice to be able to pull people over in the Z. haha
You're absolutely right about keeping this thing clean. I'm finding all kinds of hair scratches here and there also. lol.... But I love this car.
I'm a cop and I'm not a ***** to Z owners. I've owned sports cars all my life so I know how it is to want to fix them up and such. As far as my tint is concerned, I have that covered. And whenever it comes to leniency, it isn't based on the automobile, it's generally based on the attitude of the person being pulled over. He can be in a Aston Martin for all I care.
And the damn Courtesy badge was taken off promptly. lol
Anyhoot, thanks for the welcome, all!

congrats and let me save you from all the cop haters on this site. Limo tint is legal in Louisiana with a permit, the permit is given to whoever the state wants, you don't have to be a cop. Tim make sure you stop by the south central forum section an introduce yourself to all the Louisiana natives.

Whenever I bought the Z it had 46,000 on it. Not so bad! And I'll definitely introduce myself on the local forum shortly. I'm already ready for the next meet (whenever that is.)

i've had limo tint on my Z since the 2nd week of owning it. It's not the first thing cops look at when they see the car, unlike lets say a Buick LaSabre '89 with no hubcaps and limo tint... that stands out. Congrads on the new purchase, not a big fan of you all... but hell got one on our side now.

lol no, not blue led's on the squirters. haha.... The led's are on my upper windshield. One thing though. Is there some kind of black wax that I can get that covers up small scratches and stuff? Black seems to show EVERY imperfection. It pisses me off!

Congrats, Deputy!
I live in Atlanta, but am originally from New Iberia. I pass by MC when I take the back route from N.O. to New Iberia when I visit my folks.

Welcome Tim and congrats on the Z. You'll get plenty of ideas and tips on detailing in that sub-forum.
Those few here that aren't pro law and order will be the first that want your advice when they f*ck up and post a "help me" thread.
