Hey guys how it going? I am happy to be a member of this forum now. I bought a Silver '03 350Z Touring edition back in September. I made my first mod today with my girlfriend (she likes tuning cars as well) We installed a KnN air Typhoon air intake. I was happy to drive it. Feel a lil different and also sound different as well.

I am new to tuning, but I am really looking forward to hearing from you guys. Advice and comments are really welcomed!!! I am living in Silver Spring maryland now.

I have a few starter questions:

1. Besides this site, what websites/stores are good for buying 350Z performance/accessory parts? Remember I am in Silver Spring, Maryland

2. Does anyone know of a track that other people are racing at around my area?

3. Does anyone have any suggestions on what brands are tops? I am familiar with a few brand names, but i figured I'd ask anyways.

4. Does anyone know the quarter mile time on my '03 350Z touring?

5. Does anyone know the law on ground FX (neon lights under the car) on cars on the Maryland/DC/Virginia area?

I will have pics up soon of my baby. I haven't named her yet...but I'm workin on it haha!

a good brand for the Z is SRCH...they make a lot of stuff for almost all components of things dealing with the Z. look it up

LOL! I know this isn't the fast and the furious. Still, I like certain mods on my joint. what can I say....I'm a Florida boy! And I was just curious about the quarter mile times. Someone told me that a stock Z of my type was a lil over 14 seconds. I was like WTF!?!?!

Neons belong on this NOT a Z.

 

Um....neons cost more than the car. Neons wouldn't make this car look any better or worse. Haha!

 

With a half *** driver you will run over 14sec.Normal 1/4 mile time should be somewhere around 13.9. you might be able to squeeze something else out if you're a good driver.


Check out the Tech area and you will find the answer to at least 99% of all questions you can have about the Z. Lots of reading required. Don't be lazy

Remember to SEARCH... it is useful.

A good way to succeed around here is to write with proper English, so as to express your thoughts properly. You're driving a Z, so I'm assuming you at, or over the age of 18. You're either in or approaching college, so you should be decently educated. That kind of stuff will go a long way on this forum, and people won't pick on you as much.

Also, the search tool is very useful. If you're wondering about exhausts, intakes, a certain brand of wheels, just type it in the search box and you've got results. If it's a more specific question, then you can make a thread about it. But don't make threads like "how much HP does exhaust-ABC give?"

Just go with the flow, and enjoy.

 

I ain't too sure how I should take your first paragraph man, but um....I'll take it as a friendly word of advice rather than take it as you saying I sounded like a kid or something just because I spit out a couple of slang terms or something.
