I really don't see how putting a 300+ HP sports car into the hands of an inexperienced child is a parent taking care of their you?? I think that's extremely poor parenting, completely aside from the spoiled factor. Most of us nearly killed outself with out $500 beaters that hardly ran. But that's how you learn and step up slowly to a car like the Z or better.

I thought i was the best driver i could be at that age, like everyone does. Looking back now i realize just how inexperienced i was and am amazed i didn't kill anyone or myself!

Lucky bastard. I bought my first car a few months ago, and thought it was such an accomplishment. I fell in love with the Z when I was 16, and 4 years later, I had about $20k saved up. But since my job requires a backseat / trunk space, I was able to pick up a used G35 for $20k with the help of my neighbory whos a salesman at Infiniti.

Congrats on the car and everything, it just annoys me when I worked so hard for 4 years barely spending $50 a month on myself, just to get the car I want... when a kid thats 17 just gets the car handed to him without any work.

Hope your Major isn't English, lol!

congrats on joining the Z community, i know its pretty exciting having a car like that.

dont mind the flamers, i can tell 350 racer is jealous off his ***, but thats how some people get when others are lucky enough to receive such nice gifts. i dont understand why they have to get so pissed off and act like that about it, but i guess that just shows the kind of person you are.

good luck, take it easy out there!

Good for you with the new car. As I mentioned in threads months earlier and as someone stated prior, why would ANY parent ALLOW their CHILDREN to drive a 300+ HP sports car on a daily basis? Unless you're Tanner Foust and have a rich tradition of racing high performance vehicles in your family history...I could care less dad bought A car for you but when i was 17 and I told my parents I was going to buy a 300Zx twin turbo they laughed their asses off!! Good thing my parents were smarter and more responsible then my teenage ***, cuz I surely would have killed myself, considering the STUPID SH*T I did in that ciciv at that age! But, hey, have fun with the car.

I'm 22 and I can't handle 300hp.

Then again, I don't drive most people either.

I have an theory... Clearly these parents don't love their children and would rather see them wrapped around a tree somewhere! It's the only thing that makes any sense!

Not to mention the other drivers on the other drivers on the road that could end up a target as well!
