u better get that exhaust...don't disappoint me. don't let urself seem desperate to the dealer. either get the exhaust and if they refuse back away from the deal...watch them dance in circles for u after. u'll eventually get what u want.

Make sure they don't muck you around anymore. Keep us posted with the end result.

My best advice to you would be to tell them that you will only take the black one IF they install the Nismo cat back on it at no charge. Otherwise, you have found another local dealership that is willing to dx a car in to make you happy. Let's be realistic here, there's no 350z shortage going on- the economy is in a slump and dealers have these things sitting around everywhere. Chances are, the dealership that you are currently working with has poor relationships with your other local dealers and no one is willing to trade with them/ OR their inventory sucks and they have nothing to trade in return for the car you want and they're not willing to go more than 100 miles to find you something because they're being cheap on trucking. Please PM me if you'd like any more advice.

This should be posted in the Buying/ Leasing section.

i have zero additional advice for dealing with the dealer but i do have this comment:

congrats man, i bought myself a Z after graduating university too!!!, i had to wait until my 3 month probation period at my new job was over, but on the 3rd month and 1st day i was shredding tires in my 05 enthusiast- all those days of stress/being broke/crushing college cuties was worth it!!!

I agree! Luckily not probationary period for my job so I was able to do this right away. Glad I stuck through it, can't wait until I actually get to drive it!!!

p.s. called them a little bit ago, no answer or call back yet

Go get your dp back and find another red one like you wanted. Don't let them dick you around. I went through alot of the same BS when buying a SE-R Spec V a few years ago. Like stated before, there is no shortage of Z's. Get the exact one you want, its the only way you will end up completely happy. Don't settle for another color with less options.

I dont really have a color preference. I was looking for Blue, Black or Red to begin with so I actually like that its black. I looked up nice aftermarket DVD/Nav units to put in after I get the car and they are actually cheaper than the Nissan one so that is ok too.

The thing that is bothering me the most is that I put money down to buy the car last Friday and I STILL HAVE NO CAR!!! I dont know where this black one is coming from but they did say that is was in the state. If you are going to sell me a car I'd think you want to take some initiative to go get me the damn car! If they didn't go get the car today I am getting my money back and looking at another option.

It seems that any service related industry .. sucks a$$ nowadays. Sorry to hear about your experience so far. If I were you, I'd get my money back and go somewhere else... but that doesn't seem like an easy option for you.

Good luck.

Sno racer. I gotta tell you to SLOW down. The dealership is clearly trying
to play you. You need to see the actual car in person. Buy a plane ticket,
and buy the car. It sounds like you are being set the fawk up. Demand your
money back and start over, with a reputable dealer. GO SEE THE CAR. Then
buy it. Everything you have posted so far sounds ewwwwwwwwwwwwww.

If you need more help just ask. ... and please, for the love of god, don;t
trust a damn word a salesperson ever tells you.
