Has anyone thought maybe it was a track that the owner parted out his Brembos and put 2k in his pocket before selling the car. Nissan seemed to option up a limited number of early 03 tracks with touring options like bose, and navi.
Then again what about the enthusiast 17" wheels - I would guess he also swapped those and cash for the original track wheels.
The rear spoiler was also standard on the track -- I know my 03 performance lacks one

Edit.
Big + 1 from me. Stripped down track model. Maybe previous owner had Aftermarket wheels and BBK. He sold the rays and the brembos to help cover he cost, but then parted out the BBK and aftermarket wheels and found cheap replacements for the sale of the car.

The 03' track model does not have the bose system. Sounds like you got teh frankenstein model!

Could be performance with cloth seats and 17's just as easily I suppose.

not true. i was also looking at a white 03 track edition at another dealership that had a bose system. navi, brembos, rays wheels...just wanted to much for it.

yup!
but your wheels are 17, sorry!
in this pic, your wheels are like the white Z, which is 17.
The silver z has 18 wheels and beside the track model, ALL 03-05 models Z has that same 18 wheel:

(that silver z is mine btw, lol)

Had to have been a Touring. The only model Navi was an option for in 2003 was the Touring. And it's not an easy plug and play to put factory nav in a Z not ment to have it. It's a completely different dash wiring harness, and costs thousands. So i highly doubt someone went through all that trouble to put Navi in a Track edition.
Sounds to me like that was a Touring that someone put OEM Brembos and Track rims on.

IMO they look better in black. I can't stand the 17s either, and am still amazed Nissan put those on a Z. But i think the flat black doesn't look too bad on em!!

To the OP....If you don't want to buy/don't have the money for a new aftermarket set of rims. You can always buy the 2006 style rims. IMO they are the nicest oem Z rims, aside from the Rays. And you can usually pick them up fresh off a new Z for a song!! I got mine off a Z with 500 miles on it. Shipped with tires for $800.
Here's my 03 with 06 rims...

Hmmm, you got me second guessing myself now! I'm damn near positive track's didn't come with factory Nav in 2003. I have a 2003 Z model line up brochure around here somewhere, i'll look when i get a chance.
