I registered about a month ago, but just peered around a little to see what discussions came about. I purchased a 2006 350z lapagos fire. While I am generally happy with the car, I have already had the clutch replaced because the floating plate in the clutch stuck and was causing undesirable vibrations. Well, much to my dismay, the problem I was having with first gear chattering is still happening. Since the clutch was already replaced, it's more then likely a transmission problem. So while I am happy, I am also a little concerned as the drivetrain seems to have an issue. Hopefully I have only one of few bad apples. It's still under warranty! I never realized clutches were $800 for our cars, at least that's what the stealership said. Again, thank god for warranties!

 

that doesn't sound like any of the common issues I have heard of. sorry your experience with your new car this far have been frustrating.. hopefully it gets fixed up right this time

 

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like it's all pretty easy fix stuff, not cheap though, well for Nissan. By the way the colour is called "Interlargos Fire".
