Hey guys. Well, after being on this site for about a year, I decided to finally take the plunge and get my dream Z. I am looking to get an '07 or an '08 as soon as winter is over, and have a few questions. I would really like a convertible, but am concerned about structural rigidity.

Are they solid, or is the platform not really meant to be used without a roof? I don't want any shake or twisting when I'm driving over railroad tracks or bad pavement. Also, does the extra weight have any noticeable effect on performance?

Finally, are there any major quality issues so far with the HR models, like the tire feathering and oil burning of the DE vehicles?

I am searching through the forum for this info as I'm typing this, but would really like some more input by the owners.

It really depends what you're after. Each have their merit. Personally for me, I prefer the hardtop, and the extra body strength the car has.
