Default Picked up an 04.5 w/8K miles :) just saying hello

Hey all my name is AJ & I just wanted to say hello to everyone on the forums. I picked up an 04.5 Black Z coupe w/only 8130 miles on it. So far I love it. I've already put 200 miles on it. This is my first RWD car (as well as my first Nissan, I just came from a long line of Hondas). I plan on keeping it stock for the most part. I just love everything about the car haha.

And of course, the mandatory picture.

Only things done to it are a K40 Radar detector (stealth installed) & a polymer front coating.

Also if anyone knows anything about the wheels on my car that'd be great. They have the Nissan center cap but I haven't seen these wheels on any other car.

8,100 miles is incredible. I guess the car spent the past 5 years sitting in a garage.

nice pick up man, way low miles! great color choice too, Z looks best in black.

anyway, i would tint the windows, get some smoked front bumper reflectors and throw on a S2000 antenna. all three are simple and inexpensive mods and make a nice difference. make sure you search around on the forums, lots of info out there.

as for your wheels, they look like the chrome Nissan wheels that could be ordered through the dealer. i remember seeing them in the Nissan accessory booklet when i got my Z. not a popluar purchase, but they look good IMO.

Yeah, the owner was a 60 year old who only drove it on the weekends. (Never driven in the rain/snow) It's MINT!

Thanks! I'm going to get light tints on the windows, but haven't checked out the s2000 antenna mod or the smoked reflectors; have any links?

Also about the wheels, if you come across a link with any details would you shoot me a PM or something? I'm interested in finding out the specs for these wheels (and I feel like I want to get rid of them for something different).

All in all I love this car!

EDIT: Also what's the best intake? I've been reading a lot and it seems that the JWT Popcharger has the best rep for price/performance. What about Plenum Spacer? I was going to go with a powerlab 3/8" one.

They are definitely Nissan chromes. I've got them on my car. You can go to Nissan's site and configure a 350z Roadster and see the wheels.

hey thanks a lot. No one's been able to figure out anything about the wheels. Now that I have some direction I can find the specs. Much appreciated.

The antenna never really bothered me in the first place, but I like the look of a shorter one. Thanks for the suggestion

Oh, nice. I'm in that area all the time.

Take a look at our club's website, by the way: www.ctzcc.com

Congratulations on your purchase, she looks great.

try looking in the Classified areas of this site, lots of good deals to be found.

i personally like dealing with www.intensepower.com they are good guys and will spend the time to talk to you when you have questions. they have the smoked front markers there, not sure about the S2K antenna.

as for intakes and such, honestly i don't know too much when it comes to the DE engine, but look around in the intake/exhaust section of this site. make sure you use the search function too, otherwise people will jump your case, lol.

enjoy, shes a beaut!

i know it may not be your style but dont get light tint like you said. ive never tinted a car and wish i HADNT gone darker (and ive done my last 2 in 5%), having black windows does not decrease your visibility as much as people say (even at night) and looks 10x better than lame 35% tint.

I always tinted out my black cars' windows, sidemarkers/turn signals, taillights, wheels, etc. its the only way to go

this shows tinted tails and 5% windows. rear bumper lights werent tinted yet:

this picture is a good comparison between black wheels on a black Z vs. not-black. black ftw. also good display of what black windows look like. always wish i had painted my handles:

and not being a negative nancy but i know they had an issue with the chromed 350Z option wheels falling apart in a structural sense. id look into it
