Default New Z addict..

Hello,

I just purchased a 2006 MT 350z [ Stock for now. ]. I've been recently watching the back tires to see how much I'm wearing them out with my daily driving.

56424 miles and running great. [ Question. ] I still have warranty on the engine, do I just say the engine needs to be replaced? [ Oil consumption issue. ] Only ask because I hate just saying things w/o proof.

Also.. Will there be any sort of smell along with the depletion of oil? Hmm.. maybe I spun the tires too much..

Glad to join and love my Z.

First pics.

THe probability of getting a new motor simply by asking for one is about the same as winning a $1,000,000 lottery.

Welcome to the forum.

With regards to your 06, check on the engine & drivetrain subforum, there's two threads in particular:

you need to check your oil levels to see if you are burning up oil. that's where you start - I hope you didn't just buy an 06 with miles under the false pretense that you have the issue no matter what and get a new 0 mileage engine.

if it looks like you are burning up oil, take it to Nissan, they will check your oil levels and tell you to come in XX miles. then they will determine if you truly have the issue and get a new engine.

good luck. burn outs are lame unless you have slicks/drs at the track, waste of money, tires are expensive.

Well I was mostly asking after reading some posts here. I.E. the people
who say to get another Z if it's a 2006 model..

But now that I've been reading alot more into it (while putting away the flames) and see how exactly I should go into this to make sure my Z
stays as healthy as possible.

Thanks you for your help.
