Default 04 z

It's a gray 04 base model... very basic Z but everyone seems to either like it or be jealous. lol.

I want to learn how to do more than just basic maintenance but am a little afraid of ****ing the car up, I wish I got into cars when mine was still a POS.

But I guess I need to at least put in a bar w/ harnesses to be able to compete at local tracks. I haven't even been to one yet, though. I think I'm going to sign up at the BMW car club. Strange, I know but their classes sound good and it's in the area.

I also want to put in a short shifter and a Sparco steering wheel. I'm not sure exactly why but I hate the stock steering wheel. Also, the orange reflector strips are driving me nuts and I need to get the clear ones asap. Maybe later I'll post my dream list of mods (don't worry, no NOS or lambo doors

you think?
The stock shifter is so much better than other MT's I've driven, I'm thinking it would really be better with -20 or even -40%

have any of you guys put one in?

Did he say why?

I read they transmit noise. Is this just a locking kind of sound when shifting, like you can hear in a parking garage, or is it constant background noise?
